assuming you're a melee player: using the crescent falchion worked brilliantly! getting it was a little bit challenging. ( but well worth it to be able to take down flamelurker.) the damage difference between using a non magic and magic weapon against him is ridiculous. I strongly recommend you get the crescent falchion in 4-1 like tensions said as using a non magic weapon will take far too long to take down flamelurker giving him more than enough time to catch you off guard, plus he really starts hammering down once his health gets low enough. my tips for going against him would be to not let him intimidate you, he is a bit of a spaz but once you get used to him and get a good feel for how to roll around his (small) fire blast it's just a matter of sticking and moving. get the crescent falchion, lose your souls and stay in soul farm and go at him a few times to get a feel for how he attacks and when to roll out of his fire blasts. do not let him corner you in those skeleton cages, if he does it's over so I stayed far away from those. using the giant pillars and putting him and you between them is good to catch your breath if you're getting overwhelmed. the only time you really have to put alot of distance from him is when he puts both his hands up to do that big fire blast, aside from that if you have a decent shield (and fast roll) just dodge his hand swipes, roll into him when he leaps and when hes doing his small fire blast, theres a certain angle you can roll into (with your shield up) so that you only take a little bit of damage leaving you close enough after your roll to get a few swings in then move out. rinse and repeat :) if you need help ill be more than glad to join your game if anyone can teach me how to do so, I have no idea how the whole blue phanthom/black phantom invading and stuff works.
