Still.... Because hes black: Morning File, Saturday, September 5, 2015

I also note the use of language in these headlines — “plotting” a massacre sounds much more dangerous and culpable than “spoke about it with his psychiatrist” or “thought about it.”

Okay I think acquiring ammunition is more than just thinking about it.

It bothers me that this evidence apparently comes from one psychiatrist reporting what Tynes said to her. I understand that a psychiatrist has a responsibility to act once they have knowledge of a public danger, but all the same, I wonder how people experiencing violent thoughts are able to get help and speak about these feelings if it results in being arrested and charged.

He is also charged with one count of engaging in threatening conduct directed at a person or any member of their family

I don’t know if under the circumstances Terry Chisholm, the psychiatrist, could have done anything different by law

If you are going to write a piece look it up. [Summarized](http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/nova-scotia/goldbloom-tynes-confidentiality-breach-1.3212675). Again he is also charged with one count of engaging in threatening conduct directed at a person or any member of their family!!!! First she said eluded that it was a one off incident in the admissions office and blah blah he didn't get mental health offering. Now I get the impression she is trying to say this is a one off incident said in private.

There is so much more to be dissected but this post would be a novel. I will once again say that I don't believe El Jones has heard all of the facts of the case from his psychiatrist, the police, the victims or those involved with the medical school and has therefore made several assumptions.

I hardly ever post on these sorts of stories but I think what is driving me to do so is this....

I wholly support El Jones in the idea that racism is alive and well in Canada and in Nova Scotia. It can effect how you are perceived, how you are treated and interactions with the judicial system. It can determine your upbringing and opportunities in life. But when you are quick to attribute race to every interaction and cannot see any other possible view then you are doing your community, the movement and future generations, a disservice by being a spokesperson on the issue.
