But ill try to answer concisely on just one point.

I'm a history buff and cultural anthropogly is a vastly interesting subject of this.

Any religious text that is as believed in as much as the bible, and has been around for some time is a very telling look into people and cultures.

It being mostly fabricated is actually quiet irrelevant. It being based on bullshit and hate, also totally irrevelant.

But it is very telling of the people who propagated it and continue to do so.

So yes, from a historic view, and more specifically a cultural anthropologic view, it is very informative and interesting.

You just viewed my comment from a very negative and hateful view of religion. I get that, but to say you cannot learn a lot from such a cultural and old text is very narrow minded.

As a side note, most preserved ancient texts are religious in nature. Would you just say, "fuck it, lets burn them all"?

I grew up with more religious oppression than most kids. I went to catholic school from prek to 7th. No one I'm the world has more reason to have a deep seeded hate for religion than me...
