Do you still give a courtesy wave when someone lets you in a lane while driving?

I don't want to kick this off badly, but the New Australians don't do it. Hey maybe their Australian friends just have not explained this courtesy step yet.

Next Ill target the 3 and 5 door hatches with young long blonde hair behind the wheel, zipping in and out. I get it, its fine, there are places to be and things to have a photo of yourself taken in front of. Perhaps their parents have forgotten to remind them of courtesy to other drivers.

But what actually shits me to tears, is the courtesy wave when the other driver has clearly ballsed up the road rules, and you have been forced to move to let them through so there is not a major or minor accident.

  1. Giveway, or single lane. Just flying through not giving a shit, or ending up in a single lane and making the other person stop, and wait for you to back the f out again.
  2. 2 lanes, obstruction on the road causing you to straddle lane. If the obstruction is on your side, YOU give way ffs. You do not get to drift into the middle of the road, forcing others to stop for you and "wavey wavy thanks for that". If that ended in an accident - the person straddling the road because of an obstruction on their side is at fault.

I didnt mean them to be dot points! lol

Yeah, its getting worse, but I think we need to make sure we are reminding people about road courtesy.
