I’m guessing you’re in and from a western country?

I can’t believe the close mindedness of people these days. Especially towards their own child.

I’m the only child of my Indian parents and I’ve decided to be child free and get a vasectomy and they’ve been okay with it.

All I can say is that your life is yours to live per your rules and wishes and preferences. If someone rejects you for something like this, they don’t deserve your admiration or love no matter who they are. Yes, I realize this is easier said than done but time will help.

Speak with other child free people and get their advice and suggestions on things and you should start to feel a lot better.
