Eh? That link says the opposite of your claim. It talks about deaths caused by covid that aren't being recorded as covid... That's the exact thing I mentioned in my first comment.

I'm not marking bold claims but of course some excess deaths are due to lockdown.

Again, how do you explain Australia having below average deaths for last year? Australia had multiple lockdowns.

Lockdown may, and probably does, contribute to some deaths, I'm not arguing that point. However decreased mobility and risk taking may also offset that increase. So different people dying of different things. . It's very possible that lockdowns are neutral in terms of mortality, at least in the short term.

There are no studies (that I'm aware of, feel free to correct me) that show the reason for excess mortality was anything other than Covid. Excess mortality rates closely match Covid case rates, regardless of restrictions which are put in place.

What part of what I'm saying do you disagree with?
