“If we accept x then why not accept absurd thing” is a valid argument in this case. It is not the same as the one with trans people. But you’re derailing the conversation. The point I am trying to make, that I think I have already made it pretty wonderfully, is that asexuals are not oppressed because of their sexual orientation. They will never be denied a job, housing because of their sexual orientation, the will never get assaulted or murdered because of their sexual orientation. They will be maybe mocked by some, but that is not an oppression.
