Stoicism & Mental Illnesses

That's awesome that you can discern these things and this was the whole point of my post. Not everyone can do this. There's so many people that are crippled by mental illness, cult brainwashing, traumatic religious indoctrination, controlling and abusive families, etc. that they don't have these skills yet. They're new to the idea that they have a voice and can make choices that serve them better. Just yesterday, after my post blew up, I read another person on this sub call a new person on his sub an "asshole" after he wrote in about his situation. This kind of behavior is what makes Reddit incredibly toxic and especially shouldn't be welcome here. It only serves to give a bad taste to anyone who might be open to trying Stoicism.
