I stole 250k from my employer to fund my gambling addiction

Thank you for the info. In terms of sentencing guidelines etc.

I am absolutely 100% clear that in the guidelines that there is no mention of gender in the guidelines and that everyone should be treated equally. But in real life we know this isn’t the case, discrimination on the grounds of Gender, Religion, Age, Race, Wealth, occurs every single day in all areas of life and believe me, I’ve researched hundreds of cases relating to this type of crime and Women do receive lighter sentences. In fact there was an article in BBC yesterday: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-48423793

All prisoners in Open prisons or Women’s prisons are eligible for work placement, that means that Men have to in the lowest category Prison to receive work placements where as presumably any woman in prison is eligible if they can pass a risk assessment. So a women with 10 years on her sentence for murder could receive a work placement where as a Male prisoner would on,y be eligible if they were in Cat D which general,y means they are approaching the end of their sentence. It’s not related to sentencing but it certainly shows a bias towards Female convicts.
