Stop calling us thugs, inks, me, 2020

It's way more complicated than that. There are rich black teens and kids who still pretend to be "gangstas" and dealers because they observe and realize it's considered "cool" by American society. There are also poor black families and individuals who change what they were born into, and get away from the bad stuff. It is also very ignorant and racist to think a person automatically deserves or must need pity or special treatment just because of the way they look. Especially since only a fraction of the black population still lives in poverty. Also, poor and rich white teens (and all other races too) and kids also try to portray that street/"black" lifestyle as well. Some even live it. It's not about skin color anymore. It's about actions and attitudes. Most people don't like bad people or people who pretend to be bad to fit in. America has to really grow up and evolve. If a black person goes into a stereotypical white neighborhood (currently they would just get waved at) the could possibly get the cops called, majority of the time. If a white person goes into a stereotypical black neighborhood, they aren't coming out alive. Neither would a black person who wasn't from that neighborhood. There is a whole other side to America that the national news doesn't talk about or acknowledge because it would affect their agenda to get ratings and sponsors if they did.
