my question is; with so many wars happening in so many places over so long time; what is different about Syria? Looks to me that everyone is leaving, instead of fighting for their own country. Never has so many people done exodus to flee something since WWII.
It is strange to me why they are all leaving, instead of toppling of the fucked up government, rebels, ISIS or who ever the hell that needs to be annihilated to make this go away. What the hell is wrong with these people just leaving because they can't deal with their own mess.
What is happening now is not good for anyone involved, they should stay where they are and deal with their mess. I don't mean this in an ignorant naive way, but instead of sending your young men to go to foreign countries, spending the last dime they have to do so, why not deal with the problem at hand. Yes, it's a war, yes people will die, but by leaving they are leaving the poor and weak behind whilst they are seeking a new future.
As a tax payer; I did not make this happen, an after so many years of them not being able to fix this issue, don't come to my home country and expect me to give humanitarian help because you can't deal with your own problems. If you look at the number of refugees, those numbers of people could stand up and go kill off Assad, ISIS, or whom ever needs to be toppled. Suddenly it is my headache that their backwards dictatorship has gone bezerk.
And before you start bitching and down voting, think about this; what other "crisis" has ever been solved by everyone capable leaving? It doesn't matter who is the instigator to this, stand up as a populous and protect what is yours. If you can send 1,000,000 capable men to other countries, these 1,000,000 could end the conflict. If you have 5,000 Euros to buy a ticket, then you have 5,000 Euros to buy a gun and organize yourself. This is not going to end well for anyone involved, but running away from your problems sure as hell has never helped anyone.
I have seen the images and read the reports, yet I never seen such masses of people running away from their problems. This conflict is no worse or more cruel than any other conflict that has been since WWII. Don't run away, deal with your problems, for your family, for your country, for your cultural identity, stand up for yourself. People will die, shit will get messy, but at least you did something for yourself, and not run away.
