I probably encounter a weird edge case every week or so. I just can't envision how you program in millions of correct responses to all the weird shit that happens on the road. If a herd of bison is walking, does it try to drive past them getting your car destroyed? Or how about power lines laying in or slightly above the road, the camera would never pick those up. How about standing water over the road? How does it know how deep it is (a real concern in NC where I do a lot of driving and roads are frequently overwashed and you need local knowledge to know what cues to look for to make sure you can make it through). How about sand across the road, does it try to drive on it like a normal surface? Black ice? Bridge ice? How about deep AF potholes, or does it just let the wheels get ripped off?
