Stop trying to fool people with your craptastic Payless shoes! We can tell you’re a pore just by looking at your sad, glued, middle of the mall footwear and we hate you.

Ugh, it does suck that the ones you've bought haven't worked out! I feel you; that's a fair thing to be frustrated about. It is a young market. I can honestly say that I have upwards of 40 pairs of vegan shoes and not one has ever cracked or broken over the years. My mother has ~20 or so and is more active than I am, similarly no cracking, breaking, buckling. I don't really wear belts so can't speak to that - I have purchased a few but they don't get enough wear for me to feel it's really a fair test.

I truly would never expect everyone in FFA to buy vegan! But at the same time I genuinely believe (and it is my own experience) that we are in a time of change and transition to more ethical manufacturing, and while there certainly are still cheap/bad non leather shoes being made, there are also more and more strong, sturdy, elegant options. It saddens me to see people saying over and over that all vegan leather-equivalents just suck. But I don't mean to invalidate your own experience because I can well believe that any one individual may have had rotten luck and not had the chance the access the best brands, the most sustainable materials, etc. So please don't think I disbelieve you AT ALL <3
