Store "standing up" against the London Mulligan

The idea of a sovereign citizen is literally people not understanding how government and law works.

The government is an entity that has power through force(military or police). They say we have enough power that if you have an issue you come to us as arbitrator and we will sort it out in the end. The law is an extension of that. It's designed to work within said confines that the government has enough power to punish wrong doing and to create a framework of rules and regulations. Society can elect to change those rules by voting for different rulers or changing rules by jury verdicts etc Society can also have a say in the who controls the state apparatus In a democratic rule and that hopefully keeps people honest.

But end of the day. The state allows citizens the rights to an extent and they can take away those rights if the citizen has done something wrong. Being a sovereign citizen won't suddenly allow you to oppose that the state unless you have enough power to actually fights its power. Which only happens in revolutions when society as a whole rises up against the state. These people seem to thing the law controls the state instead of the other way around and that society is further controlled by the state and law instead of the other way around. So they can somehow tell society something and make it true. Like a kid telling his parents that they aren't the boss of him.
