That's some Nazi level shit right there. The police chief is literally a public servant, his salary paid by public taxpayer monies so he is damned required to answer questions, the jackass.

Perhaps his idiotic comment is just the jerk's way of saying his needs additional time to get all their and the offending corporation's lies straight first.

If after some time the police chief doesn't hold a press conference or otherwise release some report to the public, then hopefully some justice advocates, environmentalists, etc. get together and sue the police chief into living in a tent beneath some highway - as this corporate servant deserves no less, imo.
