A couple of weeks ago I matched with this really beautiful girl (lets call her A) who appeared to have very similar interests to mine, so I wasted no time in getting her number and asking her out. Later that week I was moving to the city from the suburbs, so I was pretty busy with that and let A know I'd take her out when I was settled in and she was cool with it. Fast forward to last week when I text her when she's free. She was pretty busy but we tentatively set something up for Sunday night.
It's Friday afternoon I get back from work and decide to go shoot some hoops. My roommate and I play a lot of basketball together so I ask him if wants to join me and he says no, nbd. I'm gone for an hour or so and when I get back he's not home. He goes for runs frequently so I assume he's out doing that. While I'm waiting for him to get back so we can start pregaming, I text A for confirmation on Sunday. She had a work conflict come up that day which was understandable, and we go back and forth rescheduling for Tuesday of this week.
At this point my roommate has been out for a couple hours so I ask him where he is, just making sure he's still alive. An hour so later he tells me on a date and he'll be home later. Very nice.
The next day after a long day of drinking, we get back to our place and I start to brush my teeth in prep for bed. At this point my roommate says he forgot to mention something about his date on Friday. He says something about this place the girl worked because its related to one of my interests. It was so unique that it hit me that this could be the same girl I'm going out with on Tuesday. I ask him where she works?...He says the exact place. What's her name?..."A"...Holy shit it is her. I bring up pictures for the ultimate confirmation and yep, its her. Seriously what are the chances. I tell him I'm going out with her next week and we laugh at the absurdity of the situation and go to bed. Still unsure how this one is gonna play out but nevertheless probably the most improbable thing to ever happen to me.
