So this is from over two years ago. cringe time (and im sure people will call me an asshole)
I had just went through a break-up from 3 year relationship, ended where she cheated on me. I started up tinder, and had 2 weird experiences.
first is short, i was messaging back and forth with a girl for a week, then i was drunk one night and said that i was at a bar with my ex, trying to find her someone to hookup with so she wouldn't be upset if i hooked up with someone. she then replied she was in an open relationship with her boyfriend. i immediately lost interest
second was that i matched with a girl who seemed pretty attractive, and we were hitting it off okay, she was very clingy very fast over messages. she was 18 though, and i was 21 so i thought it could be a quick fling (which, tbh, i had only ever had sex at the time in the relationship that just ended). we set a date to go to Bounce, and i went to pick her up. What comes out the door looks nothing like the pictures. I know I'm going to sound shallow, I expected a 6, and what she was was a 1. My one big shallow idea is a girl cannot be bigger than me (I was 230ish at the time), and she was much much taller and bigger. As i also try to be a nice guy, i did not speed off immediately, rather i took her to bounce, but i barely spoke. she constantly was saying "you're cute" as i responded "u 2."
at bounce, she talked about how she went on a date with a guy that worked there. i felt bad about being so offputting, and i thought i should give her a quick kiss. This was the biggest mistake. she took that as, "lets make out as much as possible." after bounce we went to a smoothie place, and she got a super thick peanut butter smoothie (i got nothing as i was sick to my stomach) and she chugged that down, then just wanted to make out in the parking lot.
after this, she had me take her to the local mall, where, she got mall sushi. my brain was barfing at this point, and when she was in the bathroom i literally took out my phone and was looking at pictures of my ex wishing i was with her instead. the date finally ended after that, and i just never messaged her again. from that point on i have barely ever trusted the pictures on tinder, as photoshop/catfishing is a huge problem.
fast forward, i am now in a 2 year relationship with a girl i met on tinder.
