Strasbourg 'shooting': Christmas market goers take shelter after 'gunfire' heard

Given that we do in fact have "stabbings" by deranged people who most likely could not get their hands on a gun, I would go with yes. It does not seem too far-fetched to me that if we had a US-level of gun access, each of those news stories would include several dead people (just like today's news does):

Most of the time there are no casualties so you won't see those in the news quite often, every once in a while one of them does manage to get his hands on a gun and you get what's happened here.
