Strip club workers of reddit, what is your best/worst story from the job?

I was I cashier/security at a club in the 90s. over time I was a manager and ran the club on certain nights. it was a great job.

One night the girls while looking out the bathroom window noticed a couple people breaking into a medical facility across the street and notified me of this. I call the cops while watching perps from the window. They exited the facility just before the first police car rolled up and walked by the cruiser without the cops knowing they where the ones. So I ran down the back stair and across the parking lot to point them out and the cops did a u-turn. They ran and the cop drove after them. Little did I know they had run around the block and backtracked into the parking lot as I was returning to the club.

They saw me and and ran towards me with a knife in one guys hands. I was out in the open with nowhere to hide. So I braced myself for a "fight for my life" confrontation.

As they got closer 5 unmarked police cars came screeching to a halt around us and undercover cops came out guns drawn and tackled us all to the ground. I remember having a gun to my head, face in the dirt when another officer told them to back off, that I was the caller.

They were arrested and I testified in court against them. The defense attorney was an asshat. But I was trained as a medic and testified several time before so I knew how to keep my cool. I absolutely loved the fact that he could not trip me up on my testimony. They end up serving time.

I guess I became a medic cause I just have a knack for being in weird places at the worst/right time.

I witnessed a shooting when I was 12 and helped a kid stabbed outside my high school. I guess I said to myself fuck this if I am alway going to be in the middle of this shit I might as well be paid for it.
