[Strotman] The last player in NBA history to shoot below 35% on 11+ FGA (min. 41 games) was Woody Sauldsberry in 1962 (34.3%, 13.8 FGA). Lauri Markkanen is currently shooting 34.9% on 11.5 FGA.

If you want to go off of 2 years I could literally rip you apart with facts on Lauri considering I've watched every game over the past 2 years. Lauri is in a slump but people acting like he was this superstar before are the real people who didn't really watch him play. He scored so many 3s because his volume was so high, his efficiency was worse because of it.

Who's saying he should shoot less open 3s? He should be shooting every open 3 he gets, missing doesn't change that.

The truth is going into this season it was quite comical reading people's opinions on Lauri who had clearly never seen him play, I remember last season people saying we'll be re-signing Lauri on a max deal etc etc because he is an able defender who is ice cold from deep etc etc. That'a the issue, people had their expectations way too high for someone who has literally been mostly average since entering the NBA. Lauri is in a massive slump at the moment but he was never, ever consistent and has always been an extremely poor defender at his position.
