Agreed. Working 12 hour shifts is objectively rough, but certain commands/members themselves make it unnecessarily a lot worse.

I was at a CC where they let people just work one shift permanently if the watch section was alright with it/could work it out Most people never swapped shifts. Apparently this is exceptionally rare, and many people say they flop from nights to days in a single month, which is pretty stupid and unnecessary.

Then there’s the fact that half the OSs on nights will never keep a night schedule and go back to waking up at 9am on their days off. I know it can be hard with family and all that, but you’re walking yourself into an early grave doing that.
