Like others i think the most likely outcome is they ransomed the child back to her and something went wrong.

Either something wrong with the kid and the murder was a cover up, or something happened during the exchange.

But, there are some redflags outside of the apparent child kidnapping and potential ransom.

Why did Nikki's family allow this woman to raise children while homeless and if they didn't know why didn't they know?

It just seems weird to me that not only would her family and friends fail her when she and her daughters needed them most while simultaneously her ex's family kidnaps one child and loses custody of the other. AND there's a random abusive relationship.

Sure, sometimes when it rains it pours, believe me I get that. But maybe there's more going on here than there seems to be. Maybe Nikki's more at fault than the narrative is leading us to believe?

Honestly I'm not sure, i just dont understand leaving a struggling mom to fend for herself with both her kids.
