Stuck in a bad situation with vehicles and trying to determine best options

Thanks for replying! Here's a post I made about the original issue a couple weeks ago.

So I took it in believing it was a locked brake caliber. Took it to a mechanic shop that I feel has always been very honest in the past. They immediately checked the brakes (which I just replaced a few months) ago and said they're looking great. Then they checked the trans fluid and said yeah it's done. Then they got the codes and he said, "They were 3 hardass codes for the tranny."

3/4 of the mechanics said it's done, will need to be replaced. One said we could try to flush it because at this point it's already ruined it could only make it better. They flushed it. With a stern warning, he told me to try driving down some of the back roads and avoid traffic to see if it helps. Made it about two miles, trans light came on in dash and violent jolts. Got within eye sight of the shop and the transmission finally died. I could not get the car to move and the RPMs wouldn't go up (or they may have but like in the hundreds).

I had the car towed to AAMCO because I read they offered financing. Of course was denied plus I didn't realize it was 29.99% APR. They said internal failure and priced me for new transmission. Car is there now and probably will tow to Nissan Monday as AAMCO is closed over weekend.
