Student loan forgiveness memo: Expert says Biden has authority to cancel student debt

If we don't hold ourselves to an ethical responsibility, how can we ever demand ethical responsibility of others. If we neglect our obligations, then what incentives do other have for their obligations? Yes, I understand that the rich have it made. Or it seems. But if you take away their money, how much help does that provide the less wealthy? Do you think they are motivated by intentional dereliction? If you make something repugnant, people will naturally distance themselves from future involvement. Money may not buy happiness, but it still drives our society in an undeniable clarity. If less money is available for those student loans, then as of now it translates to less opportunity for the financially repressed.
