Student referendum vote: Bara Saadah?

I don't know why you're so anti-divestment tbh.

There are various ways to "divest" and each have their degrees of impact and message. Pulling shares out of U.S. companies is one of the weakest (and silly IMO) ones such is the reason why I wrote:

An individual boycotting a company for a day probably has more direct impact than this.

The pressure on South Africa affected/influenced change because it directly affected South Africa's economy, chiefly by sanctions against South Africa and penalties against U.S. businesses operating in South Africa. Such came because the world, quite frankly, was shitting on South Africa for its Apartheid policies to begin with. Not investing in U.S. companies, while part of the divestment of South Africa, most likely had no meaningful economic impact.

Pulling out investments in U.S. companies doesn't do any of that. Selling off shares doesn't hurt the company and it certainly doesn't hurt Israel's economy. More importantly, the world doesn't hate Israel as much as it did against South Africa in the 1980s.
