A Study of Writing Style

First, I see that you re-edited your comment. Nice.

Second:

This thread makes it evident many more have trust in me than you.

Here you point out the primacy of popularity on Reddit. But in your latest comment, you suggest that popularity isn't your measuring stick. It's confusing. If you can't be clear, and be taken at your word, then what? And you want to be a writer? You can do better...

But honestly, I was trying to help you. My writing career started in 1976. I've been around the block. You exhibit two traits that I've seen doom a lot of writers. First, you can't deal with criticism. Second, you can't identify help.

No matter what further smart comments you post in response to what I say here, the truth is I tried to help you. If you keep shooting everyone that tries to give you a hand, to give you the hard advice you need to hear, I'm not sure you have a future in this industry. And don't get me started on feedback. That's the hard stuff, that'll put hair on your chest. We writers love our darlings.

Becoming a good writer means learning from others - sometimes those you don't agree with - rather than lecturing others. It's about respect. But if you can't get that, feel free to leave me yet another smart ass remark, which I will then ignore.

Have a nice evening.
