Studying for the bar exam right now

Except for the fact that most boomers didn't risk getting drafted. The draft only applied to people born between 1944-1950. The boomer DOB range is 1944-1964. Most boomers never had to deal with the draft.

Further, the draft was far less of a risk for people in college, as they were at the bottom of the draft list. I'm pretty certain many of the people now in power were sitting comfortably at school at that time.

Also, 9/11 was not just a boomer issue. Many of us had to deal with that fear and anxiety but we did it as kids. Some of us were even kids in NYC when it happened. We also had to deal with the great recession (which was more substantial than any other recession in the last 50 years) and now COVID.

I'm not saying all boomers had it easy, people of color certainly did not. But when it comes to white boomers, yeah, by comparison many had it way easier than we do. Those crime rates your are talking about were mostly relegated to the cities which the white boomers largely fled.
