Stupid question: UW id 7661

dead space volume = TV x blahblahblach

It's "Taco Paco Peco Paco" show it some respect bruh

So here's how I always thought of it (this is probably not the "right" way to think of it, but it's how I've reasoned through it myself). So we have VD = TV x (PACO2 - PECO2)/PACO2. Thus with increasing TV but decreasing VD, we need "PACO2 - PECO2" to be small a.f. Since I'm hyperventilating to blow off all my CO2, PACO2 goes down and PECO2 goes up since I'm blowing it all off, making that difference a lot smaller (I don't know for sure if PACO2 goes down and PECO2 goes up, but if I just think of the body blowing off CO2, that difference gets small which is what is important). So that difference goes down enough to make up for TV going up, so the overall VD goes down.

As I said, that's probably not the right way, but that's the bullshit logic I used to justify it to myself lol
