I think it's just a very nerve wracking experience breaking the blight cherry. The game sort of gave me a false sense of security after finally getting my gangly ass thru gaping dragon. What's behind the door? 10ft tall ghouls knocking me to a bottomless pit with a baseball bat.. toxic darts that I simply can't make sense of.. I never had the dexterity for a bow? Running in the dark panicking no longer caring about souls.. it's overwhelming and my camera gets stuck as I locked into a enemy that blended into the environment.. and I died. Starting to memorize the layout oh bonfire what the hell the puppy breathes fire?!? You died. Guess I go down this wheel thing oh. I missed I died. Down at the bottom out of purple clumps. Waiting patiently for my poison meter to deplete. I can't hit these hornets.. oh died. Those Boulder throwing creeps outside of lava sister killed.. I ended up in the great hollow thinking it was the right way and rage quit a good while. Glad you had a nice first visit.
