You make a lot of very good points.

I also want to point out that my opening statement regarding the civility of the sub is more relevant to how fucked up the other subs I frequent than anything else lol. Yeah, those are all pretty common problems with a hive mind sub that's based solely on a single artist. I know she never did collabs. so I understood the initial resistance, but some people were just downright nasty about it or completely refused to accept the idea of Lana being "forced" to share stage time with another artist.

I think the remix thing being a sensitive issue has a lot to do with the Summertime Sadness remix, there's still some animosity there. I'm not saying it's right that people are resistant to song remixes (and not everyone is) but I understand why some people have the attitude of "there's no point remixing perfection" and that's the end of it.

I too also hate the pettiness between fandoms or toward other artists. I liked Halsey's last album (not that I would ever mention that here....oops) and Melodrama was excellent and deserved all the praise it got. I cringe every time I see ratsey or w/e we're calling Lorde idk. Not to mention how amazingly stupid (not our sub) that gian Lana vs. Lorde Metacritic war was, where both sides tried to drop the others user score.

We all should try to be better about this sort of stuff, but I digress.
