I hear how you feel about the male bashing.

With all the glowing sycophantic reviews before the TLJ release, i was flabbergasted sitting in the theatre opening weekend and watching all the TLJ male bashing and character assassination of beloved OT hero Luke.

To be clear, I am a minority guy whose ethnic group has traditionally still to this day been woefully under-represented in tv/movies in the US, so I do believe in diversity in media representation.

However, the prior SW films have never purposely bashed women before and have had progressive strong female characters in the ST and PT (a teenage ruler/queen of a friggin' planet and a teenage galactic senator/rebel leader!). It was like TLJ was taking some sort of corrective or revenge for anti-women gender-depiction crimes that were never committed in the first place by the prior SW franchise filmmakers.

It's insane to think KK, the Story Group & Ruin Johnson conspired to I don't know what was in their minds....strike a blow against the patriarchy and toxic masculinity (?) by inserting and getting mammoth exposure for their social agenda themes under cover of a Star Wars space fantasy film b/c they would then have a captive audience of SW fans to passively indoctrinate. Please, someone needs to do a Galaxy Quest spoof about this....
