Sometimes it does feel like that I can admit, like people venting out of frustration tend to make it seem like all we want is just a literal remake of SR2 as SR5 or people that hate the newer games so much that they will defend the janky gameplay of the older games to make that point. Like I won't go that far.

I just think the newer games started getting a bit vapid plot wise though, despite the gameplay improvements. Its great that they do think outside the box a bid for the series but really look at how far things have derailed, even from where SRTT was. It really doesn't seem like you're playing Saints Row at all in SRIV. How the Saints Saved Christmas and GOOH was at that point the Saints just being cameos in a parody of something else entirely unrelated to them.
