Submarines test results and further steps

I really like this change and I’m interested in how it plays out: “Surface ships will be detected by submarines from the same range as from planes. Therefore, reconnaissance will not be the main task for subs.”

From how I understand it, they want a distinct difference between destroyer and submarine gameplay. They buffed the stealth for subs, so they will be the stealthiest class in the game especially at periscope and lower depths but at the same time they made it significantly harder for subs to detect enemy surface ships. In other words: subs are not suitable for scouting purposes. That's the job of CV's and DDs only. What I think it does mean is: subs are going to be effective as long as someone is doing the spotting job for them, but once DDs and CVs are out of the battle, the surface ships have the initial spotting advantage. It is very interesting because then battleships and cruisers have a fighting change 1v1. So gameplay wise SS are gonna be the Tank Destroyers of WOWS.
