Submitting to Blacklist - Question

Oh, they're "fully-legit." You can sign up, it doesn't cost anything, so you can have full access to look around. You'll see that all the big players are on there.

While I perfer not to use pay services, I did give them a whirl (bought the 20 package) and I got one script request from a lit manager. While I do not submit to producers, in this case, since they were on VPF, and my script fit what they were looking for, I took a shot. They didn't request the script, however, it opened extended dialogs for me with the lit manager and the producer. I got on their mailing lists (not junk mail selling bunk, but legit industry emails with leads by referral).

The success stories with them are like with everyone else, 1%, but there is success. If anything, it does give you great practice to see where you strength and weaknesses are in your queries.

As with everything, you have to comparison shop. I do not classify them as rip off and believe they are above board. I just don't see all those A list industry professional on there "sticking" to unrepped writers to make a buck.
