This subreddit is less about an amount of money and more about the generosity of a community

I will admit I haven't donated yet as I only just discovered the page a couple weeks ago. I do intend to do my part and donate, but I would like to see how a lottery runs full-cycle before I jump in just to see how everything functions.

That said, I do wish we had more frequent lotteries. Maybe I am missing the point of this sub and maybe there's another page that does what I'm suggesting, but while once a month is great, I would prefer to see a lower goal amount set and more frequent lotteries given. Instead of asking for $1,000,000 and once a month, I'd like to see 2 winners a week and maybe a cap of something like $10-$15K.

Obviously we're not getting even close to the full million and honestly nobody needs money like that anyway, but 10-15 is easier to attain and to distribute more frequently, giving more people a chance to win while that dollar amount is perfect for getting that car you really need or paying off that nasty debt that's been following you or even just taking a vacation to see your family and friends.

Maybe I'm just weird, but I'm a lot less hesitant donating to a cause like that because its a much more believable and attainable goal. It serves a more sincere purpose than simply wanting to be made a millionaire and while obviously not activity is going to benefit from it, that distribution of wealth will reach a far larger number of people, meaning more people who do need it or deserve it will have a chance of getting in.

As a result, better odds on the lottery is likely to get better results in activity among users even though donating isn't mandatory to enter, more people will be willing to donate if they believe there's a better chance of seeing a return investment someday.
