This Subreddit is not about Turkey

DISCLAIMER -- I think it's important to note for any non-Turks on here who may be unfamiliar with Turkish culture and the the general attitude/personality of a Turkish person that Turks are born with cynicism in their blood. If it's 23c degrees and the sun is shining without a cloud in the sky -- they'll say it's cold, bitch about the sun is in their eyes and wish for a clouds. If it's cloudy and 30c they'll say they're dying of heat stroke and bitch that the sun isn't blinding them. Life in Turkey is better than most countries. It's beautiful, the food is incredible, families are close and take care of each other and communities are tightly knit and social. Also I'm pretty sure the majority of people (at least in Istanbul where I'm from) have either never worked a day in their lives, maybe worked for a couple years (then gave up because working is hard) or have a job that allows them to spend 70% of their day bitching about how much working sucks with their coworkers, 20% drinking chai and a snacking on a plate of carbs and maybe 10% on actual work...maybe.

Access to great very affordable Healthcare and dentists (dentists in Turkey are IMO far superior to the US and 100000X more affordable.) if you walk around istanbul at anytime of day every restaurant is full, salons are full, the malls/stores are full and every taxi, minibus, metro car, boat and bus is full of people living a life most Americans would kill for that will tell you everything's terrible and the whole country is gone to shit.

The end.
