this subreddit in a nutshell

I think a better example than in deterministic physics would be the Copernican revolution. Many people were emotionally attached the idea of the earth being the center of the universe. With the information we have now, it's easy to surrender to such an idea, because it seems like it's simply true. But if it was something you believed you're entire life, it would be hard to give up such a belief and people who have such a emotional attachment would have to develop their emotional needs to be ok with the fact they aren't at the center of the universe. INTP, not usually super in tune with emotional side wouldn't have such a hard time accepting the new idea /structure of the universe, because to them it would appear to come more from a scholarly pursuit, something out of a logical conclusion or a naturally necessity.

I think Indeterministic physics is more of a contemporary issue people wrangle with but the sun example is good one at demonstrating how people become emotionally attached to certain intellectual ideas. INTP naturally try to resist becoming emotionally invested because they're usually more concerned trying to get an objective perspective to their intellectual and if their ideas are at odds with the majority who determine the truth of ideas based off how it makes them feel, they can feel like they are odds with their fellow man because they don't see how other people can use something like emotions or feelings to guide their beliefs, especially over beliefs that can be "objectively" be determined.

I think it's also how people who identify as atheists can feel alienated if they live in a region was strong ties to religion. They can feel at out of place or can't understand why people can progress in intellectual ideas and it's because INTP are out of touch with people who use their intuition to guide their belief.

That's my interpretation...
