Substitute teacher shortages are plaguing schools during the pandemic | CBC News

We need GOOD subs.

F, when I do get a sub they are usually useless. It can vary from general incompetence all the way to my students telling me they couldn't understand them.

I mean we are getting what we pay for right now. As stated by a bunch of people all the good ones are moving on to other careers due to the dead end nature of the job right now.

As I mentioned above, when I worked in a different country I had to pay money to get my credentials assessed to work in the there and went through interviews just to work as a sub at one school. They didn't just let anyone with and Ed degree do the job. I made a liveable wage I might add.
