Summer league experience

Put yourself in his shoes for a minute.

He's from Sac. Grew up playing football. Didn't play any basketball at all growing up, expect maybe some pickup games with friends. Doesn't even like to watch basketball. Then he breaks his collar bone playing football and mom says he can't play football anymore.

He's bored. He's 14 years old. He goes to high school and the basketball coaches want him because he's tall and athletic. He decides to try it out, and thinks it's fun. He starts watching more games on tv and showing up Kings games. He has no idea what he's doing, but he's enjoying himself.

The next year at 15 he starts to really find his rhythm on the court, and all of a sudden he's a star. He's still new to the game though because he's only been playing for a year. He doesn't have a favorite team, but decides his favorite player is... Rudy Gay.

He gets a lot of attention in high school, gets a D1 scholarship, then all of a sudden a year later he's a lottery pick. Went from never played a real game to lottery pick in 5 years.

Then he finds himself in a position where he actually gets drafted by his hometown team! He gets to play with his favorite player in the town he grew up in! Dream come true!

Except it never happens, because before he can find his hat he's already been traded away! Think about that man. How the fuck would you feel about the Kings if you were him? I'd be pissed.

And now he's got people like you, who know absolutely nothing about him and can't even be bothered to look any of this stuff up, yet you've already decide that you don't like him because you think he has a bad attitude.

You want to talk about who the punk is in this situation? It's YOU.

But considering the source here I can't say I'm surprised. Par for the course with you.
