Sunday Funday - Post your wheelies, your funny pictures, your new bike! Because Mondays suck.

My new '08 FZ6, rode it home monday. Maybe I'll make a post. tl, dr: beater finally blew up, unrelated insurance check finally came in, rode it home monday night and added 500 miles to the 13k since then. Bone stock except for the puig screen, well kept up, needs a corbin seat and new coolant.

Going to be my only vehicle for a bit, and hoping to throw bags on it and camp my way between friends a little this summer. Not my first bike, put about 12k miles on a '99 duc 900ss and 2k on my dad's ST2.

In love with my bike. Whether it's the badge/nostalgia or not, it doesn't 'inspire passion' (I am so sorry I had to use that) like my duc, but that wasn't what I was looking for. It has a split personality (which the v duc had a bit of as well), below 8k it's perfect for traffic / remaining within the confines of the law. Drop a gear and get the i4 from an r6, albeit with the claws trimmed. It handles pretty well, is and feels about as light as my duc was (decade newer), flicks well.

I don't hold myself as a great/fast rider so I don't give my opinion much weight, but the bike does feel like it pogos a little, especially if upset in a turn. New shocks won't be too big of a deal if it bugs me, but they've been fine so far. The taller windscreen, upright riding position, and I hate to say it but omg FUEL GAUGE and little things like that are great. It even has hazard lights and a centerstand! Maintenance schedule also made me giggle coming from the 900. All in all I'm damn happy. Grabbing some armored tourmaster pants for summer, will get some boots I can wear into a restaurant, a sena, and I'm pretty much set for gear, too.
