Newbie here (thanks to those who replied to my question about the EU servers in yesterday's thread)

My biggest problem is that I can't help comparing to WoW since I've played that game for many many years. As such is the case, I was hoping someone might be able to help me 'translate' a few things and explain if they even exist in FFXIV

Transmogrification - Does it exist? In WoW, you can use items of your appropriate armor type and transmog it over the stuff you are wearing. This is one of my favorite features of the game, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't exist for FFXIV, can someone confirm this please?

Is there a "trade" chat in FFXIV ? Currently the game seems very quiet on Ragnarok EU. I don't see anyone talking in any channel, but then again I don't know if that even exists.

ONe thing I struggled with the first time I played this game was that I could not seem to find an appropriate way to level up once I would try a different job for the character I was playing. When I tried switching to Rogue, I had enough foresight to have held on to my starter gear, but when it came to quests I was just sort of at a loss. The starter quests I had done on my original starter job (job? class?) were all gone and it seems immensely cumbersome to level exclusively through those FATE things and levemete quests. Is there a more official way to level up once you start a new job/class or are you forced to do those repeat objects until you catch up.
