There's no reason ChromeOS integration needs to be this bad. When I have a text message come in I get two separate notifications on my laptop, and I can't respond from either notification (like you can quick reply on Android). One of the two notifications does absolutely nothing when clicked, the other one opens up the messaging app.

If I highlight a phone number in my browser on Chrome I can right click and get the option to "make call from Google phone" (some numbers are already clickable and it gives the same option). My laptop is 100% capable of making a phone call but my only option is to just send the number to my phone. If I want to make a call from my Chromebook I have to open the messaging app, go down to calls, click 'make a call' and type in the number.

The worst part is that I'm on Google Fi, using a Pixelbook and Pixel phone, and I've set up the phone as a connected device with nearby share enabled. This should be the most seamless experience possible and it's just awful.

If I'm using basically any communication or productivity app on my phone I should have the option of pushing it over to my laptop and picking up where I left off. Halfway through typing an email on my phone? Texting someone? Writing a document? Have part of an equation in a cell on sheets? I want to be able to send it over and keep working immediately.
