Spend the entire day texting friends in Seoul seeing if they were still alive.

That was... exasperating.

I don't know why but that event really took it out of me. Maybe its because I have so many Korean friends and Korean expat friends that it hit too close to home. Also I was living in China when the Shanghai stampede happened in 2014 and it killed 30+ people.

Itaewon is just so lively and vibrant and for it to be now known as a seen of absolute carnage and death, I just don't know where to begin and how to process it.

I think back to all the events I attended where it was arse to elbow and just think to myself that could have been the one.
