[Sunday] Weekly Suggestions - - October 07, 2018

There are some exceptions, but I’m not that into Hip Hop. I don’t even like a lot of Electronic music. Some of the elements of the music I enjoy were found when I listened to Madvillainy, but it’s still just not an album that keeps me interested the whole time. I like a more dark, almost Metal, sound to my music.

I haven’t found Rap vocals that don’t distract from the music (the point of Rap lyrics should be delivering a message that distracts from the instrumentation anyway, in my opinion). Going more instrumental with Hip Hop could turn up some decent results, but I’m not aware of any melancholic/hypnotic instrumental Hip Hop.

The closest Electronic music I’ve found is either Vaporwave (which I do like in some cases) or Plunderphonics (which can be hit or miss). I appreciate the suggestion, and if you know of any specific examples of albums that blend your idea with my taste, I’ll check them out!
