Super Bowl 50 Post Game Discussion Thread

So you've got nothin'. Cool.

He's overcome more in the past five years than most have in a lifetime. I think he's fine on the "diversity" (Adversity, right?) front. He was criticized all year and stood up to it just fine. In fact, he's been criticized his whole career. He was a backup at Florida. Got in trouble, went to JuCo. They said he'd had character issues off the field, and the guy has been the hallmark for selflessness in his personal life. They said he wouldn't be able to cut it in the SEC, and he won a Heisman and a National Championship. He came into the league and no one thought he'd amount to anything. People were calling him a bust before he took his first snap. Carolina was foolish to draft him first overall. Gabbert and Locker would be better QB's in the long run. He was a system quarterback from an option offense in college and the option didn't work in the NFL. Then it did. But he would never be able to succeed from the pocket. But then he did. But he'd get injured all the time from his play style. But then he didn't. But he wouldn't be able to lead his team. But then he did.

He's overcome every obstacle in his path so far in his career. His team went 7-8-1 last year and he helped push them into the playoffs. Everyone was predicting 7-9 wins this season before Kelvin went down, and he took them to a 17-2 overall record. He was rookie of the year and broke all of Peyton Manning's rookie records, aside from the interception record. He's two TD's away from most rushing TD's in NFL history by a quarterback. He's the reigning MVP and OPOTY. I don't think Cam Newton has any trouble overcoming adversity. Nice try, though. Got any other reasons why he needs to "mature"?
