I'm so in! I got started for a couple reasons. 1. Because I realized I was pretty hypocritical about meeting guys who were overweight and that wasn't fair. 2. My friend was getting married. 3. My parents health issues were scaring me. I originally started Jan 2013 at 250lbs and by June I had lost 50lbs. I did it by jogging on all my days off and sticking to 1500 calories, mostly protein and non processed foods. My original goal was to lose 100 lbs, my goal weight being 150lbs. I hovered around there for a year or so then slowly started gaining again. I am back up 16lbs and not proud of it.

My new reasons/goals: 1. Brothers wedding in August. 2. Wine and Food Festival half marathon in 2016. 3. To wear pinup style clothes (cause I love them). 4. To encourage my parents to take better care of themselves too.

I have found a lot of the things that worked for me in the past don't work now. So my new plan. I am starting at 99.5kg (I'm in New Zealand so going with their measurements). I have a goal to lose 40kg. While I don't have a specific goal date (as long as I get there eventually) I would like to lose as much as possible before I go home in August to visit. My food plan is to eat between 1200 and 1500 calories a day (variation makes me happy), avoiding processed foods, sugary stuff, and take out. My focus will be on protein, fruits and veggies, and healthy fats. For exercise I have gotten a gym membership. I will be going 5 days a week after work; Monday, Wednesday, Friday will be treadmill, and Tuesday, Thursday I will be learning weight lifting. Saturday and Sunday will be for outdoor activities, walking to places, going swimming at the beach, hiking, etc. Just keeping active.

My biggest stumbling blocks at the moment are all the fast food so close by. Fruits and veggies in New Zealand are pretty pricey. And my multiple roommates love eating pizza and pastas etc, while being tiny and fit. :/ So that's the mental issues I will have to get by.
