It is completely fine to refer to people who have significantly lowered intelligence as mentally retarded. That is the definition of the phrase for Pete's sake.

Also, once again, I did not mean to conflate incestuous mentally retarded people with autism. I thought it was clear they are separate and not the same. It seems it was not, I added in the autistic part mostly as a nod to my wife. She is an aspie and is convinced all aspies, along with people with autism in general, would be in Slytherin.
