I was at the beach yesterday tanning when I overheard a group of girls playing music. The song "The General" by Dispatch came up, which happens to be my favorite song.

I set my book down and yelled over to them "IS THAT DISPATCH? I LOVE DISPATCH", and they confirmed it was. I gave them a big thumbs up and a grin and went back to reading. About twenty or so minutes later the one who I think was in charge of the music came over to me (at her friends' behest I think) and asked me what I was reading - I told her it was an SF book, the moon is a harsh mistress, and her eyes immediately got really wide. She talked about how she loves Heinlein and how her dad is an engineer who got her into the subject.

We ended up talking for about five or ten minutes, it was really swell. She went back to her friends, and I my book, and that was the end of it. I went home probably half an hour later, only to realize that she was most likely flirting with me. I didn't get her name or her number or anything.
