How do you know?

In Episode 84, when Kuririn engaged in a Kamehameha struggle with Goku during their practice match, 18 intervened and kicked the Kamehameha out of Goku's hands.

After the fight, 18 said to Kuririn that it wasn't a fight to the death, but rather a battle royale where people can fight together. 18 told Kuririn that if he can't beat Goku alone, they may be able to do so by working together, believing that Kuririn himself can create a strategy if they do fight together. As 18 and Kuririn prepare to battle Goku, the latter stops the match.

Then we have Gohan and Shin suggesting that Team U7's members engage in team battles against their enemies in the ToP, that teamwork is essential, etc. So far only Kuririn has teamed up with other fighters. 18 is off by herself fighting at least Cocoette. Granted we don't know the entire episode's plot, so it's possible 18 could help her husband here, but it probably would have been mentioned if it happened.

I never expected episode summaries to actually indicate who would win major battles. Very few past summaries went so far as to say who won a fight in a prior episode.
