Why do you support the SAA?

I support the SAA because they are the only group on the ground actively fighting AQ. I don't support Assad but I do think there is a future for the Baath party post Assad. It is also worth mentioning I support the SDF over the SAA but I think that they can work together in a future Syria to secure Syria and defend it from Jihadists and hostile countries. I think this is only possible once the opposition and the government come to a peace process which involves two points for that to be a reality. 1. Assad must step down and allow U.N. recognized elections to be held. 2. The rebels must reject Al Qaeda and throw them out of the country after integrating into the SAA regardless of the results of the elections. All groups that don't merge into the SAA after Assad steps down should be considered a terrorist country. After that Rojava should be officially considered an autonomous region of Syria with mutual defense a key point in the agreement. The federal government should control monetary policy, international trade, and the U.N., while the SDF should be maintained as an official branch of the Syrian military and the official military of Rojava.

I know it sounds like I'm getting off track but I say all this because for any of this to be possible you have to support the SAA in their defense of the country. An absolute victory for the opposition means chaos and infighting with a delayed return to stability. I support the SAA but I can't say that without saying that I believe in the peace process even more and the SAA is a very important part of that process that will hopefully one day contain all of the former opposition members in a united Syrian Arab Army together with the Syrian Democratic Forces can mean future security for the country as it recovers and repairs from this war.
